Q. What is the success rate at New Beginning?

A. Although it is not possible to stay in touch with all of our alumni, the majority do stay in touch with the ministry.  We have found, that because most of our guests stay at New Beginning for more than six weeks, that a good majority stay clean and sober.  We estimate the success rate to be between 75 and 80 percent.  For those who relapse, we find that many do eventually recover, when they are willing to "put into action" all that they have learned.  For those who really want to get and stay sober, and are willing to  work the program, we expect a 100 percent recovery rate.

Addiction is a disease of the mind and of the body.  Addicts and alcoholics need to be in a safe and structured environment where they can learn to function without the use of drugs and alcohol.  The mental obsession and the phenomenon of craving can be overwhelming, even for the strongest of will.  The best case scenario, is that the addict be in a safe place where they can learn about the problem of addiction, the solution to addiction, and the program of action to overcome addiction.
